How to disable IPv6 on Linux

Filed under: Linux — Nasser Heidari @ 13:23

I have a host without IPv6 connectivity, so I don’t want it to try v6 reachability:

# echo 'net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=1' >> /etc/sysctl.conf
# echo 'net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6=1' >> /etc/sysctl.conf
# sysctl -p
